One verdict, built from evidence

Seven possible causes, eight sources of evidence, and an honest confidence level on every case.

The cause, named

Authentication, reputation, forwarding, transport, a recipient problem, a policy block, or unclear. Each verdict says which one and why, and lists the causes the evidence ruled out.

Evidence you already have

The decoded bounce code, the header chain and receiver annotations, our sender identification, your own DMARC reports, Gmail Postmaster data, TLS reports, and blocklist checks, assembled into one case.

What it will not do

It only diagnoses mail from domains verified in your workspace, it never stores a message body, and when the evidence is thin it says unclear rather than guessing.

Then the fix

When the cause is an SPF gap, the fix is attached as the same staged DNS change as everywhere else: the missing include, a five-minute hold, and a 24-hour undo. When it is a DKIM or vendor setting, the case links the exact guide for that sender.

After a fix we keep watching. Your reports and Gmail's measurements are checked until that mail passes again, and the case tells you when it does. Cases keep the subject line, the original headers, and the verdict for 90 days, then purge.

Copy your address

Your workspace has a private diagnose address on the Diagnose page. It carries a signed token, so a forged forward is dropped before we read it. Rotate it any time.

Forward as an attachment

A normal forward strips the headers that carry the evidence. Forward the bounce or the spam-foldered message as an attachment; if you forget, we reply with the steps for your mail client.

Within a minute the case shows the cause, the confidence, every evidence row, and the fix or guide. The verdict is also emailed back to whoever forwarded it.
