These terms govern your use of trustyourinbox. By signing up or using any of our public tools, you agree to them. If you don't agree, don't use the service. Questions: dmistry@yourhostdirect.com.
1. Who can sign up
You must be at least 18 years old (or 13+ with parental consent) and able to enter into a binding contract. If you're signing up on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization to these terms.
2. Your account
You're responsible for keeping your credentials secure and for all activity under your account. Notify us promptly if you suspect unauthorized access.
3. The service
trustyourinbox provides DMARC monitoring: we receive DMARC aggregate reports for the domains you configure, parse them, and surface the results in a dashboard. We may add, remove, or change features. We may have downtime — there's no formal SLA on the free tier, and best-effort uptime on paid tiers (formal SLA when posted, prospectively).
4. Acceptable use
Your use of the service is also governed by our Acceptable Use Policy. Briefly: only monitor domains you own or are explicitly authorized to monitor; don't use the service for phishing, malware, spam, or illegal activity; don't abuse rate limits or attempt to bypass plan caps. Violations may result in suspension or termination.
5. Free tier and paid tiers
The free tier permits monitoring of 1 domain. Paid tiers (when launched) lift caps and add features per the pricing page. We reserve the right to change pricing prospectively with reasonable advance notice. Your existing billing period continues at the rate in effect when you signed up.
6. Your data and content
Domain DNS data and DMARC reports flowing through your monitored domains are yours. You grant trustyourinbox a non-exclusive license to receive, parse, store, and display that data to you and (where you've opted in) to send you email digests. We do not train AI models on your data. We do not sell or share your data with anyone outside the vendors listed in our Privacy Policy.
7. Intellectual property
The service, the dashboard interface, the public tools, the documentation, and the trustyourinbox name and brand are ours. The domain ownership, DMARC records, and DNS data of your domains remain yours.
8. Termination
You can cancel your account at any time. We can suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, the AUP, or that we reasonably believe pose a security or legal risk. We'll provide notice and a reasonable opportunity to cure when practicable. After termination, your account data is retained for 30 days (so you can change your mind) then permanently purged.
9. Disclaimer
The service is provided "as-is" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We don't warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that every DMARC report will be processed correctly (mailbox providers' aggregate reports are themselves not always well-formed). Don't rely on the service as your sole source of email security; it's a monitoring tool, not a guarantee against impersonation or deliverability problems.
10. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, trustyourinbox's aggregate liability for any claim arising from or related to the service is limited to the greater of (a) the total fees you paid in the 12 months preceding the claim or (b) USD $100. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages (including lost profits, lost data, or business interruption) even if advised of the possibility.
11. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify trustyourinbox against claims arising from your misuse of the service, your violation of these terms or the AUP, or your violation of applicable law.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario, Canada, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute will be brought in the courts of Ontario, unless small-claims jurisdiction applies in the customer's home jurisdiction.
13. Changes to these terms
Material changes will be announced with reasonable advance notice (at least 30 days for paying customers). Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
